Open mobile website from PC

Hello, This post will show hot to open a mobile site from your PC. For example if you want to open http://m.rediff.com or http://irctc.co.in/mobile from PC, you can use this technique.

Step 1: Download and install Firefox if you don't have it.

Step 2: In Firefox, Go to Tools->Add-ons. In this tab, click on 'Get Add-ons' and search for 'Modify Headers' and Install it.

Step 3: Restart Firefox and go to 'Add-ons' as in step 2. Now click extensions to see the installed add-ons. You will find 'Modify Headers' and 3 buttons - 'Options,'Disable' and 'Remove'.

Step 4: Click on 'Options' and this will open the options window. In the 'Options' window,Click the 'Start' button.

Step 5: Select 'Add' from the 'Select Action' drop-down. In the second text box, type 'User-Agent' and in the third text box, paste 'Mozilla/5.0 (SymbianOS/9.2; U; Series60/3.1 NokiaE51-1/100.34.20; Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 ) AppleWebKit/413 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/413' and click on 'Add' button. Now you are all set, try opening a website, it will redirect to the mobile version. eg. http://rediff.com will be redirected to http://m.rediff.com.

Troubleshooting: If it does not redirect to the mobile site. Go to options of the Add-On and verify it is 'Enabled' and 'Start'ed.

The 'Original' dupe - real story :)

I bought an iPhone charger from eBay and it burnt when I plug it for the first time. I decided to break it open and find out whether it is really ‘original’!

The one on the left side is from ebay which was supposed to be ‘Original iPhone Charger’ and turned out to be a dangerous duplicate! Luckily, it didn’t damage my iPhone.

It was very easy to open the duplicate. See the marks of my hard work to open the real iPhone charger below.

Lesson learnt – Never compromise quality and trust all that is marked as ‘Original’!

Hibernate Dialect for MS Access

I spent a little time this weekend for getting some hands on Hibernate. Being lazy and concerned about my bandwidth, I decided to go with MS Access to try Hibernate. Now I couldn't find a Dialect for MS Access.
Googling helped and I could find some info on Dialect for MS access...But I was not happy with the Dialect which I think is not a good one for trying the Hibernate features.

Then my question was, why Hibernate is not supporting MS Access and the answer I found is that it is not RDBMS. (contradictory stmt: https://www.hibernate.org/361.html#A4 ) Bummer! Does it actually support MS access?

But I recommend you to download MySQL which I had to do finally tho I am gonna pay more for internet this month ;)
Download SQL developer and JConnector to use MySQL with it! Ready to go....

How to install SpringIDE into Eclipse3.4 Ganymede?

I was not able to install SpringIDE into Ganymede Eclipse 3.4 from the update site. Now I have a solution and thought of sharing it.

Go to Eclispe menu

1) Help -> "Software Update"

2) Click on Add site and add “http://springide.org/updatesite”

3) Click Ok

4) Now expand “SpringIDE Update Site”

5) Expand “Integrations” and Uncheck the below

a)”Spring IDE AJDT integration (optional)”

b)”Spring IDE Mylyn Integration (optional)”

6) Expand “Resources” and uncheck

a)”Spring IDE Mylyn Integrations Sources”

7) Click “Install”

8) Click “Next”

9) Select “I accept the terms and cond…”

10) Click “Finish”

You are all set to go…Happy SPRINGing!

Shame on you my nieghbour, Is this the way that you were taught by your forefathers to cover up your internal problems? You went there and when you saw her, you called her 'Gorgeous'. Ain't you a flirt Mr? We Indians are proud that we do not have any one like you as our leader. Grow Up Kids!!! (7th std Social Studies)

One more reason to hate the BAD politicians/Religious leaders! I read the the lesson in the 7th std text book(see the pic above) . There is not a thing that is aganist religion in that lesson and our children needs more like this. If we look at people who is shouting and fighting against the text book, we will find that they've never been to school or would have never passed 7th standard. They have no rights to deny our children the rights for good education. Just saw Prof.Yashpal praising the person who wrote this lesson. What a shame for us "malyalis".
Where are we going? are we still in backfoot?
I believe in GOD and religion is something that brings us close to God. God want us to love each other and live in harmony, not to fight and destroy public properties. Interesting that who did things which no religion will allow is leading the protests against this Social Science text book.

ഒന്നും മനസ്സിലായില്ല ഇല്ലെ...ഞാന്‍ വിശദമായി പറയാം... ടെക്നൊപാര്‍കിലെ സാറന്മാരുടെ ജാടയെ കുറിച്ചാണു ഞാന്‍ ഇവിടെ പറയാന്‍ പോകുന്നത്‌.ഇവര്‍ക്ക്‌ ഇത്ര ജാട വരാന്‍ കാരണമെന്തു...? നാട്ടുകാര്‍ ഇവര്‍ക്കു കൊടുക്കുന്ന ആവശ്യമില്ലാത്ത ബഹുമാനമായിരിക്കുമോ?

ഞാന്‍ ഫൈനല്‍ പ്രോജെക്റ്റ്‌ ചെയ്തിരുന്ന സമയത്തു എന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാര്‍ തങ്ങിയുരുന്ന ലൊട്ജ്‌ വിസിറ്റാറുണ്ടായിരുന്നു... അവിടെ ഒരു 'സാര്‍' താമസിക്കുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു...സാറിനും ഭയങ്കര മസില്‍ പിടിത്തമായിരുന്നു (ജാഡ). ഈ ലൊട്ജില്‍ ഒരു പത്രം മാത്രമെ ഉള്ളായിരുന്നു...ഒരു ദിവസം എന്റെ പാവം കൂട്ടുകാരന്‍ പത്രം വായിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു..അപ്പോള്‍ അതാ ലോഡ്ജിലെ മാനേജര്‍ ഓടി വന്നു.."ടെക്നോപാര്‍ക്കിലെ സാറിനു പത്രം വേണം" എന്നും പറഞ്ഞു പുള്ളി പത്രം കൊണ്ടു പോയി..ഇതു ഞങ്ങള്‍ കൂട്ടുകാര്‍ കൂടിയപ്പോള്‍ പിന്നീടൊരിക്കല്‍ ചര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്തു...മേല്‍പറഞ്ഞ സാറിന്റെ നാട്ടുകാരനായ ഒരു കൂട്ടുകാരനുമുണ്ടയിരുന്നു ഈ കൂട്ടത്തില്‍... 'ഠിം'..ദാ കിടക്കുന്നു...ഈ സാര്‍ ജോലി ഇല്ലാതെ അലഞ്ഞു തിരിഞ്ഞു നടന്ന സമയത്ത്‌ മാതാപിതാക്കള്‍ കല്യാണ മാര്‍ക്കെറ്റില്‍ മകനു മൂല്യം വര്‍ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കാന്‍ വിലയ്ക്ക്‌ വാങ്ങിയതാണത്രെ ടെക്നോപാര്‍ക്കിലെ ജോലി...

ഞാന്‍ ടെക്നോപര്‍ക്കില്‍ 2 കംബനികളില്‍ ഇന്റര്‍വ്യു ക്ല്യര്‍ ചെയ്തിരുന്നു...എന്റെ ഒരു ഡ്രീം ആയിരുന്നു ടെക്നൊപാര്‍ക്ക്‌.. അര-മുക്കാല്‍ മണിക്കൂര്‍ ഇന്റര്‍വ്യുവിനു ശെഷം ഐ.ഐ.ടി കാരന്‍ ഓഫര്‍ ചെയ്ത സാലറി...ലജ്ജാവഹം.. :) ഒരിക്കല്‍ ഞാനും 'ടെക്നോപാര്‍ക്കിലെ സാര്‍' ആകും...
